New Calling

So yesterday, a member of the bishopric asked to meet with us after church which meant, NEW CALLING. It's probably good to have a new calling when we don't have any at all. We've been riding that wave long enough I suppose. The only thing that we didn't want to do is to teach adults. So our new calling works perfect for us. We are on the Primary board. We don't know much about what that means other than the fact that in a couple weeks they are either going to assign us a class or we will be used as substitutes for other classes. This will be good because Rachel will be great with the children. I'll probably have to get a new animal to keep the child wanting urges down. But let's face it, to be a good primary teacher you need two things :
1.) Candy
2) hangman
I'm ready to eat candy and play hangman.

311 and Snoop Dogg in Concert!

So Monday night I went to my seventh 311 concert. And you know what? It is still just as fun as it has ever been. And this time around Snoop Dogg opened for them. I went with Kyle and my brother in law Corey. I was a little nervous as to the crowd that that might bring but I could not have been more surprised. It was probably 99.9% white fellers there. Probably his whitest crowd he has played for. It was cool just because it was Snoop Dogg, but i only knew one or two of his songs so he could have played half as long and I would have been satisfied. The real fun is when 311 took the stage.
That is not a picture of what you might think. It's a maple leaf. Snoop is from Canada.

This is us resting in between sets.

At one point in the show all the band members play the drum together. Definitely one of the coolest parts.

Restaurant Review: 5 Guys

Everyone who has been to California or Vegas should have tried In-N-Out. If not, you haven't lived. The same goes with going back east. If you've been back east, you should have tried 5 Guys.
5 Guys is the east version of In-N-Out that is now in Utah. They opened their first store in Fort Union this past Monday, so naturally, Rachel and I went. We had both tried it when we went to Baltimore last summer.
They are like In-N-Out but they have a little more options. They have kept it down to basically hamburgers and hot dogs, but they have more choices of toppings. (Refer to the below picture)
Overall, if I want a good burger and In-N-Out isn't around, 5 Guys is my choice. It's awesome.

Movie Review: The Incredible Hulk

This last weekend Rachel and I went and saw The Incredible Hulk. It seems like the super-hero industry is realizing what it takes to make a good movie, because the last two that I've seen has been fantastic (Ironman and Incredible Hulk). First off, their was a lot of speculation of this movie because the first Hulk that came out in 2003 was disastrous. In fact, the slim movies I actually turned off before it was over was Daredevil and Hulk. Now this version of Hulk is similar to what Batman Begins did to the Batman movies. This Hulk is a restart of the franchise. It starts off fast. Bruce Banner transforms into Hulk within the first 5 minutes. And throughout the entire movie there really wasn't any slow boring parts. The acting was fantastic. I have always been a fan of Edward Norton and he did a stellar job. And because my mind is wandering I'll finish the review. The final fight scene is awesome. And overall if Ironman was a 10, The Incredible Hulk is a 9. Go see it.

Chicago

Last weekend Rachel and I went to Chicago for my work seminar. We went a couple of days early to see the sights. To list the top things we did
  • Went on top of Sears Tower

  • Went and saw the musical Wicked

  • Went to a White Sox game (fantastic firework show after)

  • Went to the Second City comedy club. (That is basically where most people from SNL go their start along with comedy geniuses Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell.)

I had my camera only highlight the green color in the stadium
