It's been a while since I've posted. But maybe because there hasn't been a whole of action in my life. I've recovered quickly from my appendix surgery. Oh, my intramural basketball team entered the playoffs with zero wins from the regular season. We had a first playoff game, and due to some BYU miracle, Sam on the team made the last shot with zero time left to put us up my one. Victory! Sweet Victory! Our first win of the year put us into the second round of the playoffs. Woo Woo.
There are only 36 days til I get married to the beautiful Rachel Morrill. I'm also going to Las Vegas this weekend with her family. It should be a heck of a good time. Rachel and I are going to Phantom of the Opera on Saturday night, which has been a long time goal of mine.
Well, that ought to do it for tonight. Life is good.

Appendix Surgery
It has been one crazy week for me. Tuesday I woke up to an unusual pain in my stomach which I had originally thought was a stomach flu, possibly food poisoning. I went about my day, but the pain never ceased. My mom called about at noon just to chat because it had been a while. I told her that I might go and see a doctor. So she set an appointment up in Heber to see the family doctor and he told me it was my appendix that was swollen and that I would need surgery. So I then drove myself to the hospital in Orem to the emergency room at about 4. They got me hooked up to an I.V. with the occasional morphine boost and we waited for the doctor to be done with some other surgeries at a different hospital. At 11:30 That night, the doctor had finally made his way over and I underwent surgery which lasted about an hour. I woke up sometime around 1:30 as they were rolling me in my room and trying to explain to me some things, but I was not very coherent. My appendix was swollen and on the verge of exploding so I am quite lucky that didn’t happen. But, because it was swollen so badly, it was quite infected so I had to stay until Thursday. Now I am recovering quite quickly and just have little pain. So needless to say, its been an exciting week for me.

English Frustrations
Ok. I really don't enjoy English 2010. Maybe it's just my professor. Or maybe its my long history of not doing well in that class. Or most likely, I am a procrastinator. Last night I stayed up til 3:30 in the morning writing a paper. It was due this morning. My class starts at 7. I slept a little late and got up at 6:30. So I had a solid 20 minutes to get ready for school and the day which I miraculously accomplished. I hurried to school and rushed inside right at 7 and looked at my classroom and there was nobody inside. The lights were off. I just happened to not go the previous time so they possibly made an announcement that either class was cancelled or they were having it in a different classroom. Either way, I slept only 3 hours for nothing. NOTHING. I didn't have to work til 9 so I walked to a couch in the hall and fell asleep for an additional hour and a half. What a wasted effort. Sheesh

Hardware Ranch
Monday, Rachel and I, went to Hardware Ranch up in Logan, which is a ranch where they feed elk and other animals. They take you on this sleigh ride right up to the elk. It was really cool but very cold.

New Car
Well, yesterday I purchased a new car. It was quite the welcome, sense the last month or so I've been cruising around on a borrowed scooter. The timing was quite perfect also because starting today there is a cold front that the local weatherman has called, "Arctic Cold". The new car is a 2000 Nissan Maxima and I really like it and it is a step up from my old 1996 Nissan Maxima. I'm a fan of the Maxima's. They're great.
