Movie Review : AUGUST RUSH

We rented the movie August Rush. It stars Freddie Highmore (who was in Charlie and the Chocolate factory). It basically revolves around this boy who is an orphan hoping his parents find him. He is an extremely gifted musician, which helps him in his quest. Robin Williams has a minor role, and does well with it. I thought the soundtrack was really good. It's a feel good movie with great acting. I wanted "more" from the ending. But that's my only beef. It is rated PG for some thematic elements, mild violence and language. I give this movie a B.

Finished Painting

We finished painting and it really makes a big difference on how everything looks. It feels much more like home now.

Paint

We are painting our condo. Mike and Bonnie came all the way out from Washington DC to help. Well, they were here for other reasons, but it is very nice to have their help. I will post pictures when we are all done. It is already looking much better.

Pirate!

So this morning, I was running to my first class (I was late because of the crazy snow traffic). Right before I got to my classroom, I noticed in the corner of my eye that there was a teacher with an eye patch talking to someone in an office. So I thought to myself, "You know it's going to be a good day when it begins with seeing a pirate."

Our New Condo

So as most of you know, Rachel and I have bought a new condo that we are hoping to close tomorrow or the next day. To clear up some confusion, this condo is basically an apartment but a little bigger (one bedroom bigger) and everything is redone. But here are some photos I took.
This is the kitchen

This is the fridge.

Stove and microwave.

Sink and granite counter tops.

Part of the bathroom.

Master bedroom.

Dining Room

TV room.

Washer and dryer

Second bedroom/office

Anyway, it's nothing huge, but is a much better step-up for us for the next couple of years until we outgrow it.....
